These homeowners wanted to update in looks and upgrade in functionality. They chose to close in a door to the back yard as they had recently installed patio doors also leading to the back yard making the kitchen door redundant. This allowed them to extend the kitchen and relocate the fridge, allowing for more room and storage in the newly improved layout.
For countertops they chose acrylic (solid surface) from LG Hi-Macs in "Ripe Cotton". They opted to do the backsplash in clear white glass tile, which together creates the beautiful and timeless white on white look.
To make the space even bigger, an unnecessary wall was removed that was initially separating the kitchen from the dining room. This allowed enough space for the addition of a simplistic but functional island. (Before photo below is taken while standing against said wall)
